How to Determine Your Fee
In an effort to be fair to both my clients and myself, I now use a sliding scale fee based on mutual trust.
I ask that you examine the following descriptions and determine for yourself which "bottle" best describes your financial situation. Your fee will be based on that assessment. (Scroll down for a written description of each level.)

Level 1:

I am comfortably able to meet all my basic* needs.

I may have some debt but it does not prohibit attainment of basic needs.

I own my home or property OR I rent a higher-end property.

I own or lease a car

I am employed or do not need to work to meet my needs.

I have regular access to healthcare.

I have access to financial savings (including retirement accounts).

I have expendable** income.

I can typically buy new items.
-
I can afford an annual vacation or take time off.
Level 2:

I may stress about meeting my basic needs but still regularly achieve them.

I may have some debt but it does not prohibit attainment of basic needs.

I own or lease a car.

I am employed.
-
I have access to healthcare.

I might have access to some financial savings (including retirement accounts).

I have some expendable** income.
-
I am able to buy some new items and I buy others used to save money.
-
I can take a vacation annually or every few years without financial burden.
Level 3:

I frequently stress about meeting my basic* needs and don’t always achieve them.

I have some debt and it sometimes prohibits me from meeting my basic needs.

I rent a lower-end property OR have unstable housing.
-
I do not have a car and/or have limited access to a car but I am not always able to afford gas.

I am unemployed or underemployed.

I qualify for government assistance including food assistance or healthcare assistance.

I have no access to financial savings.
-
I have no or very limited expendable** income.
-
I can rarely buy new items.
-
I cannot afford a vacation or take time off without financial burden.
*BASIC NEEDS include food, housing, and transportation.
**EXPENDABLE INCOME might mean you are able to buy coffee or tea at a shop, go to the movies or a concert, buy new clothes, and similar items each month.
My fee for people meeting the Level 1 description is $2000, the Level 2 description is $1600, and the Level 3 description is $1200. Payment plans are available at all levels.
